Ysgol Dolwyddelan is one of the Capel Coed-Elan Federation Schools, which is a federation of three small, rural schools in the upper valley of the river Conwy. It is a County Primary school from the nursery year to year 6.
The school is designated as a Welsh medium school in accordance with the education authority's language policy. Welsh is the main medium of work and life within the school, and the aim is to ensure that all pupils are fully bilingual by the time they transfer to secondary school.
Our vision here is to ensure education, experiences and opportunities of the best possible quality in order to enable EVERY child to develop to their full potential to be independent, confident and successful individual for a society that is rapidly changing; this is done within the supportive, homely and happy atmosphere of our school - and therefore our motto is 'Gyda’n gilydd, llwyddwn’ (Together we will succeed)
